PeoriaIllinoisan, while always having good content, has a couple of exceptionally good posts lately. One is a cathartic poem about the killing of a 26-year-old woman by a couple of delinquents dropping a landscaping stone off an overpass. The other is a video requiem for the Arbor District.     Yeah. “Providing psychological relief through the open expression of strong emotions; causing catharsis.” (Oxford American Dictionary) Didn’t you feel a little relief after writing it?

    Cathartic: An agent for purging the bowels, especially a laxative.

    Catharsis: A release of emotional tension, as after an overwhelming experience, that restores or refreshes the spirit.

    You had me scared for a minute there ;)
