I’m taking a couple days off from the blog. Feel free to use this as an open thread, and have a great holiday weekend!

Would it be wrong to pray for some “reign” of common sense at the 2008 GOP Convention?
I believe Denver was nice and dry for the length of the Democratic Convention and yet… The GOP Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota gets “rained” out by a hurricane in the gulf.
There’s a nice big SOLD sign slapped over MaGoof’s sign at Menards on Pioneer Parkway. Any body know anything?
Sorry to be fishing here when other topics are being discussed, but who is Jeff Green who plopped down $2.3 mill for the old Menards store? Is that related to Green Chevy? Does that mean trading one empty store front on Pioneer Parkway for a soon to be vacant one on Knoxville? Thanks
“without malice” — PeoriaIllinoisan looked into that. Yes, Jeffrey Green is the owner of Green Chevrolet. I don’t know if that means they’ll be moving, but it’s a reasonable deduction.
