There’s a new blogger out there, but you all know who he is. He used to write for the Journal Star… He was the religion editor… Remember yet?
That’s right — it’s Michael Miller! He’s got his own blog now called Rancho Miller. Check it out!

And he’s a Dylan fan. Gotta love that!
A story to read: Elaine Hopkins does an excellent job depicting Aaron Schock as he really is: http://peoriastory.typepad.com/peoriastory/
wow. New voice… you gotta read this
I am surprised that she did not take the opportunity to mention the evil trains on the Kellar Branch as well in that rant of hers. She really laid it on thick on Shock, evening blaming Shock for Hinton’s land purchases around Glen Oak Park.
Shock supported conversion of the Kellar Branch to a trail. I guess it’s why Ms. Hopkins didn’t accuse him of torturing kittens 🙂
Elaine does not allow comments — simply bad form.
How could/did Schock hire Hinton without the majority approval of D150 board members? They did vote on Hinton’s contract – correct?
Her timeline of the Glen Oak debacle is incorrect. Aaron was gone before the purchases of those unneeded properties.
And, as an inner city resident — I missed out on the postcard —- in which precincts did that occur? How do we know that Schock’s campaign actually sent the postcards? …. I am not defending any of Schock’s actions as I remain unconvinced that he has the qualifications for the office he is seeking (remember SB 2477) — yet the article is inaccurate.
I never liked her reporting when she was with the PJS and I think her true colors are coming out. Whether you are for or against Schock, I think most individuals with reasonable faculties would recognize this as a completely biased and less than factual account.
I find it interesting (as documented in this article http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a7yWeJ_fstgE&refer=home )
that both of our presidential candidates are supporting a $6.4 Billion sale of weapons to Taiwan – with little to no public outrage. True they may not include nuclear weapons but we are clearly, as a nation, assisting them in developing their defenses.
Elaine’s site disallowing comments under the guise of liability concerns is laughable. In my opinion, that intolerance of opposing views on such a blatantly biased blog indicates a lack of self esteem and smallness of character.
