If you’re interested in the future of Sheridan Village, a trustworthy source has informed me that there’s a meeting at Fashion Bug tonight at 7:00 p.m. to discuss it. I’m told a representative of the Emmes Group will be there (they’re the ones who own Sheridan Village) along with representatives from the city and Hy-Vee, and of course surrounding neighbors and other interested parties. However, I’m told the press will not be allowed to attend. I’m not sure if neighbors will be allowed to voice their concerns or if this is just an informational meeting.
confirmed. It’s just a gathering for interested neighbors to hear the plans and voice any ideas and/or concerns for the project.
And of course ANY such neighbor can take notes and leave a comment here, at Peoria Pundit, any other blog of their chosing, or on their own blog.
One of the beauties of citizen jorunalism is that ANYONE can do it. That what drives the powers-that-be nuts.
This is quite funny. The press is not allowed, but citizen journalists are…
On an unrelated note, I’ve never stepped foot inside the Fashion Bug, and I’ve always had a problem with the name of the retailer called the “Dress Barn.” That would be dresses for large women?
sorry dude, the Fashion Bug has been closed for some time. This was a meeting in an empty space that used to be the Fashion Bug.
