Here lies PeoriaChronicle.com. 2005-2013. May you rest in peace.
The world will little note nor long remember what was said here. But I had a great time writing, reading, and conversing. It was fun while it lasted, and I appreciate all the friendships and support I have received during my brief sojourn here in cyberspace. Thank you.
Perhaps one day I will come back and write again, but for now I’m too involved at home, at work, and at school to devote any more time to this endeavor. Just writing this good-bye note is wearing me out.
God bless you all, and have a very happy new year!
Sincerely,
C. J. Summers
Bummer.
I had a feeling this was coming. Hopefully, you’ll still post occasionally. I’ll keep it on the blog roll.
The Blogs have never been the same without you. I think when you left, a lot of others hung up the towel. Things go in cycles though. I predict you will be back, along with others, when the time warrants. You have a rare and amazing talent for researching, analyzing, summarizing and communicating your thoughts. Although I didn’t always agree with you, I always looked forward to and very much respected your point of view. You definitely make the world a better and more honest place. See ya soon!
Best to you and yours! Thanks for your diligent research and considerable other efforts. Hope in future you regale us with your children’s successes!
we will miss you, CJ. Blessings to you in this new year!
Well, we’ve heard this before, C.J., but hopefully this is only a bump in the road. You’re an investigative reporter, sir. It is your talent, and it would be a shame to waste it. Have a Blessed and Happy New Year, no matter what you decide to pursue. Know that you are missed and loved.
Step away form the ledge. Don’t look down, just step back and take a deep breath.
OK, now we can put this foolish idea away
Very sad to hear this news! Hope you change your mind at some point in the future. You have an excellent talent for searching out local stories!
How odd that you quit. Just yesterday, I was explaining to someone how overworked you were, and that I thought your blogging would pick up once Christmas season went by the wayside.
When you were doing it, you were the BEST BLOGGER IN PEORIA. The bastards are winning more and more with you quitting.
Hopefully, your decision to quit will be as ephemeral as Peoria Anti-Pundit’s.
Thank you for the great blog, CJ. Best to you.
Godspeed, CJ.
Sandberg on the city council, now you CJ with your blog…………..the common man has lost two of their greatest assets! You will be missed.
Without Sandberg to give stores to the Chronicle there is no Chronicle.
Without anonymity, there is no courage among my detractors.
Take a look back at the wide variety of topics and the depth of reporting on the Chronicle, and I believe any fair-minded person will see that this blog was obviously not reliant on Sandberg.
I was not suggesting that, I believe the both of you had very strong common sense and that lead to your paths crossing on several occasions.
“Of course the Chronicle is done” is a uninformed person, with no concept of the facts!
Thanks for all your insightful research and views…………………..a fair minded fan!
Your blog is great resource to research Peoria issues. I hope you leave it up.
Your voice is definitely needed in this community. Thanks for all your insights.
CJ, am sorry you have ended your blog. It was well done. It seems many have given up as we keep fighting the same battles over and over again. Life is too short to keep beating your head against a brick wall. As a result the nonsense is not only more common place, but done more openly without any concern about repercussion. Thank you for your past support. It is appreciated.
Of course the Chronicle is done: Screw you. The Chronicle is one of the best researched blogs I’ve ever read.
CJ, your blog was a revelation and an inspiration. You have a wonderful talent that is an asset to the community. I hope to hear from you again soon.
your blogging will be missed but i know that your spirit of fairness will remain alive in your other endeavours; and while less visible, these good works will continue to bend the arc of the moral universe toward justice.
Fun while it lasted. Godspeed!
