It’s a beautiful day outside. Watch this classic Victor Borge act to get you laughing, then go outside and play:

hope you don’t mind my using this as an open topic thread, but does anyone know what business(s) being built in front of Menard’s on Allen Road? Obviously it’s a large gas station but there must be something else going in there too like a restaurant on the left side with a separate entrance.
Thanks! I love Victor Borge; got it from my late mother who was a pianist and a music/kindergarten teacher in Chicago. He was always funny and amazing.
Took our youngest to Bradley today to start school; empty nest after 29 years (he wasn’t the only one!) and it’s kind of a strange day. So, again, thanks.
Oh – I’ve been playing all day since 6:30am when I explored McNaughton Park in Pekin before the house woke up, then some trails in Jubilee with the kids, lunch at Ludy’s where I gave in to the hype and now crown them “best hamburger in Central Illinois,” a bit of Kartville fun, and now must mow the lawn even as my body begs me to rest.
Today was a great day and until now I forgot I even had a blog or two that needs to be updated.
Wonderful out… now can we get rid of the motorcycles?
From an old lady who used to ride a motorcycle I thoroughly enjoyed the parade going up Farmington Rd., today. They were beautiful and friendly. But I nearly froze my tush off. It was cold out there. Can’t believe this is almost the end of August. I sat on the front porch and enjoyed the parade and the most unusual bikes.
“They were beautiful and friendly.” … and NOISY… get a farkin muffler.
