I was downtown today and took a picture of a sign on the exciting and inspiring ExploraFence around the old Sears block. I was shocked — shocked! — to find this sign:
Can’t read it? I’ll get a little closer:
Did you see that last sentence? “IMAX-like cutting-edge technology is coming right here.”
Okay, you caught me. That’s not really what it says. It says, “3-D IGST cutting-edge technology is coming right here.”
No? Still not right? Well, Tim Riggenbach said they never promised us an IMAX, so I’m sure it doesn’t say, “3-D IMAX cutting-edge technology is coming right here.”
You know you’re going to get in trouble for putting that sign up on their fence.
But darlink, please tell me it isn’t so! I thought IMAX was so, so, so passe!
3-D IMAX cutting-edge technology is coming right here.
CJ: The image which came to my mind was Professor Harold Hill from the Music Man. Perhaps you could write an updated Peoria version of ‘Ya Got Trouble.’

Oh, CJ. (sobbing) if it weren’t for your (more sobbing) leadership we would never…sniff sniff, snort….get this project……
sorry, I just wanted an oscar too……
How did they design the theater building if they never knew what system they would be installing in it?
CJ, you trouble maker, you!
Says the same thing, multiple times on the buildtheblock.org website. IMAX is mentioned numberous times, and even in drawing schematics.
O’Neill should be investigated for ethics violations, or other possible criminal activity related to the blatent lies in the grant application that he completed and signed.
I’m getting old and my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so maybe I missed the part where it said IMAX LIKE. Is that it?
Go get ’em CJ!
