Also on Tuesday’s agenda are two items that were deferred from last year:
- A recommendation to deny a gate blocking a public street between The Cove of Charter Oak (new McMansion development) and Vinton Highlands.
- A recommendation to change the city’s code so that Elliott’s strip club on University can get a liquor license. This is being recommended because of a recent court case that has led the city to believe that they are vulnerable to litigation if they don’t change the code.
Not sure it’s fair to characterize the development as McMansions….nice, upscale, non-starter homes, are all much better descriptions.
Now that the road is there, I think it should remain open for all. However, I believe the City was wrong to require the developer to put in the connector road in the first place.
How does Elliot’s stay in business? I never see more than 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot, no matter what time of day or night I drive past.
