It doesn’t necessarily matter that I didn’t hear about it, since I live in the West Bluff. But I hope East Bluff residents did hear about it and are planning to attend. Also, I didn’t mistype the notice above — item number II is missing in the original notice I received.

  1. I had no idea. Dammit. Hopefully someone will share the info from the meeting. How do they typically notify residents about this because I’ve never seen a sign, received a postcard, or heard a thing about it unless you mention it in your blog. FFS.

  2. If you want to be notified about the meetings, you have to go to city hall and register as an interested party. You need to bring ID that shows you are a resident of the area you are a citizen of Peoria, and you have to have an email address. I have been receiving the notices consistently since I signed up. I was unable to attend the meeting tonight, since my daughter’s last High School concert was at Peoria High School tonight at the same time. The registration lasts for two years, and then you must renew.

  3. Fred. Not necessarily, you only need to contact Bobby Gray to be on the e-mailing list. He confirmed to me last night that the meetings are open to the public. Anyone can show up.

  4. Yes, the meetings are open to the public. Now as to simply contacting Bobby, that was not the process I was told. I submitted an “Interested Parties” document at City Hall, but now I am on the email list for everything, including City Council Meetings, etc. So maybe Bobby will put you on his mailing list, if he remembers to do it. Read the comments in the next article where Bobby admitted to being behind on the webpage. Not knocking Bobby, mind you, he is one very busy individual. The proper procedure is to file at City Hall.
