The fourth question is: What are your hopes and dreams for the next 100 years?

People and institutions treat one another equally. Less economic divide. More women and minorities in positions of power and authority. Health care and higher education available to all. Less hatred and anger.
I hope I am dead in 100 years.
I hope Peoria realizes that it needs its small business much more than it needs its large ones.
I hope we can become more pedestian and bicycle friendly with a strong arts based downtown and warehouse district. I have strong hopes that the proposed linear park from downtown to Grandview Drive materializes in some form. Stop tearing down our history and instead begin to embrace and build on it!
I hope that District 150 gets is shtuff together… and also agree with everyone else’s comments.
I hope that [Greater] Peoria, which should be a much larger city in 2108, will have a diverse employer base of heavy and light manufacturers, insurance firms, medical services and schooling institutions and is downstate Illinois’ premiere air and rail transportation hub.
24/7 public transportation at least on some routes. Equality in education and employment. Thriving inner city with emphasis on arts, boutique shops and residences. A lovely park/entertainment venue on a certain park down town near the river. Pristine water flowing in the Illinois River.
