Nothing to say

In case you’re wondering why there haven’t been any posts lately, it’s because I just haven’t felt like blogging. I don’t have anything I’m just dying to say. And besides, it’s so hot outside, my energy is sapped.

Hope you’re enjoying your summer. I’ll write again one of these days….

  1. Diane,
I know some bad jokes. They are the governor and the the general assembly working on the budget.

  2. Anon – I know what you mean. How silly that the same dudes who got us into this mess are the same ones entrusted to get us out of it. Oh wait, for a minute there I thought I was talking about D150.

  3. OK, I’ve been confused lately. Do we have a “Diane” and a “Diane Vespa”?

  4. Heres something positive: Wouldn’t that be great if Peoria Fan could join us in our efforts to demand greater accountability and performance from the school district?

  5. “Always look at the bright side of life….be doop be doop a doop be doop… always look on the right side of life…”

“Ya gotta ac -cen- chu-ate the positive, e-lim-in- nate the negative, latch on to the affirmative, don’t mess with MR In Between.”

“The sun ‘ll come out tomorrow, betch’r bottom dollar that tomorrow there’ll be sunshine… ”

“Still I’m happy with what I got, I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night”

  6. Kcdad: Great song–and most of the time the philosophy really does work–especially, with the other philosophy of making lemonade out of lemons. Unfortunately, there are still lemons with which to deal. Still, God is great all the time!

  7. The exact quote should be “God is good all the time!” Kcdad: On second reading, is there a difference between the “bright” and “right” side of life–I guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder? All of this proves that several of us will comment even when there is really no topic for discussion.

  8. The nurse says do who’s urine sample this is. And one guy says it’s mr freely. the nurse says what’s his first name. the guy says it is “ip freely”

  9. Motel customer: “I hope the porn on the TV in my room is disabled.”

Desk clerk: (Disgusted) “No, it’s regular porn.”

  10. Anybody know what they are building in the lot on Allen Road in From of Menards? The footprint doesn’t look too big so I assume it’s another restaurant of some sort. I guess that is to take up the slack from that Chili bowl joint on down Allen that opened and then closed a few months later! Talk about a business that was doomed from day one…that food was the pits!

  11. mahkno….

that judge needs to be off the bench for an obviously biased and horrible decision…

I watched the video and I am sitting here outraged… that %$& should be in jail for at least a year.

  12. Pretty good post. I just came by your site and wanted to say
that I have really enjoyed reading your posts. Any way
I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!

  13. Still can’t get the figure right. The signage amount was for $190,000+. Those voting to spend the money were Riggenbach, Harding, Mayer, Hester, Dillon, Sous, Watkins and Pearson. Typing this infor from the board meetting minutes, this time.

  14. MAWBlogging: yes! McArdle lawsuit is full steam ahead so is criminial investigation into Dist. 150 administrator!

  15. Wonder if the investigation has anything to do with Broderick “retiring”? Last week he was late for a meeting and when he did show up he was shaking and upset.

When will it finally be Hinton who is shaking and upset? He lets others take the fall and he seems to be protecting himself.

Mary O’Brian should be next, because of her lies and immature behavior she needs to be on the list of people who are visibly shaking and upset.

  16. All of you did hear Hedy Elliott-Gardner’s speech at the last board meeting, didn’t you? It was a criticism of Broderick–with some specific criticisms of his lack of timely attention to important personnel matters. Hinton was so upset about the comments that he immediately called Hedy out into the hallway to discuss the issue with her privately. I think more than anything he was attempting to convince Hedy that he had the situation under control.

  17. District 150 (K. Hinton) – Situation under control? Kind of an oxymoron isn’t it, Sharon?

  18. No, I was not able to watch the board meeting last week. Regardless, the buck stops with Hinton. He needs to take the fall, and soon. I would like to know what Hedy had to say though.

  19. Serenity: I think something was lost in translation. I totally agree with you about the buck stopping at Hinton. Hedy’s complaint had to do with Broderick’s delay in responding to requests from the Spanish teachers–the delay cost them money in getting visas back into the US, etc. Hedy also mentioned how Broderick didn’t return phone calls to her and others, etc.–lack of accessibility. At the previous meeting Bobby Darling had brought up the same issue–I think he suggested maybe Broderick needed an assistant since he wasn’t able to handle the work load.

  20. I do think Broderick needs(ed) and assistant. Though I do feel like some of the medicine he has handed to others is coming right back at him now. He was heard saying “if I want to blackball someone, I just start rumors about them”. Wow, he has helped destroy lives when it was unwarranted. Now, I just hope the truth comes out about Dr. Mary O’Brian. She lies and twists things around, she needs to go.
