Open Thread Weekend

Have at it. I’ve got too much going on this weekend to do much blogging, although I may have a post about Thursday’s Zoning Commission meeting soon. I’ll just have to see how the weekend goes. 🙂

  1. How much money you ask? Maybe enough to pay King Hinton another day or two for hiding out somewhere! That whole story is just so CRAZY, but I guess 150 taxpayers don’t care!
    ^oo^~

  2. One feral Kat- I’m curious what do you think is going on with Hinton? I don’t think back surgery requires this much convalescence, but maybe I’m wrong…I know people who have had back surgery and return to work within a couple of weeks. Again the Board of Ed. looks foolish.

  3. With the time change I got to wondering, why is it that clocks have virtually disappeared from public buildings? Prominent, often fancy clocks, used to be a fixture in most buildings. Now there a very few. How about conspiracy theorists, what’s up with the disappearance of clocks?
On another note, I read that 28% of the workers at one chicken processing plant tested positive for TB. I’m sure the free trade/open borders crowd will tell us how there is nothing to worry about, no threat to health, blah, blah, blah. Your Grandmother knew better. You do too.

  4. George, I agree with you. Something isn’t kosher here.

By the way, how can Hinton have so many sick and vacation days accrued since he was “contracted” 08/2004? Did the BOE give him all of his pre-retirement accrued sick days even though they were applied to his TRS retirement? Isn’t that some kind of double-dipping?
