Reader poll

I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on my little blog here. Do you have any suggestions, critiques, praises, criticisms, preferences, etc., that you’d like to share? Here’s your forum! I promise to listen at least as well as the school board. 🙂

  1. Yours is one of the few Peoria blogs I read. I like it because:

    (a) you post frequently

    (b) while I don’t always agree with your views, most of them are well-informed decisions and not just polemic.

    (c) local print news is not of the quality that I would expect from a city as large as Peoria, so I need some other place to read about local issues

  2. C. J.,

Your blog is the closest thing to a perfect news source. Everything that’s relevant is covered here.

  3. I read numerous local blogs daily. Most I read for entertainment or the “good grief” effect. Your’s is one of a very few that I read to get a good summary of local issues. Keep up the great work!

  4. Your blog is the 1st one I read to find out about issues. You post more on issues than our one and only local paper does in there entire paper. Keep up the GREAT blog!

  5. You do a pretty good job, write well, and don’t go overboard on your opinions. I second the motion of Mahnko… I truly appreciate your not changing the formats every couple hours like Billy does. His doing so is not only aggravating, but confusing as well.

  6. CJ I like your blog because it feels down home, neighborhood friendly and all about the local information we need. Don’t change a thing. We love you just the way you are.

  7. You’re just jealous of the Cardinals’ 21 pennants and 10 World Series championships. Hey, the Cardinals won fewer games last year than the Cubs won this year, but still won the World Series. What was the Cubs’ problem? What’s the scapegoat this year? Ha ha.

  8. The problem with your blog is that you obviously hate the Journal Star, which is strange because you secretly want to work for them, and … oh, wait. That MY blog. Nevermind.

  9. Come on CJ, say it.
“The National League Central Division Third Place St. Louis Cardinals.”

if it make you feel any better, we’ll let you call them “The National League Central Division Second Runner-Up St. Louis Cardinals.”

  10. I am interested in issues relating to District 150 and also City Council action. You provide a more complete and detailed account of what is going on than the PJS. Also, I live out of town and rely on the internet to gain my local news. I find your blog easier to navigate than the PJS web site. Thank you.
