  1. Well, we could theorize about how bad officer Jordan has had his butt reamed, by the chief, since the beginning of the Beachler incident.

  2. So… my ten year old asks, “What is MySpace?”. Rather than ask right away, I ask who has a MySpace Page? He naturally rattles off a list of names. So I pause with a ‘hmm’ and give him a brief run down on what MySpace is. I then let him know there is no way he is getting a MySpace page. Waaay to young for that vile armpit of the Internet.

So fellow readers, do you let your kids use MySpace? And how young is too young, in your opinion.

  3. No way my kids will have a MySpace account. They are a breeding ground for indecent behavior. I already know of girls who lie about their ages to meet guys and I am sure the guys they will meet will be top shelf. Sickos and pedophiles search for kids with a less than stable home life and victimize them.

  4. Ah yes, our beautiful bed of tulips survived longer this year than last. We went on an errand (less than two hours) and came home to headless tulips.

Rhetorical statement, why people cannot leave other people’s property (flowers or christmas lights or bikes or garden hoses or or or) alone is beyond my upbringing and comprehension.

  5. I see in today’s headline that IDOT, having finally completed the
I-74 “upgrade” and looking around for someplace else to spend taxpayers’ money and inconvenience motorists, wants to take six years to completly redo the 74-155 interchange that was build relatively recently. If it’s already worn out, some contractor should be called to account. In any event, the public should not tolerate them taking six years to do this job. That’s crazy. Or is this really just preparation for the infamous “ring road”?

  6. Mahkno, having a myspace page is not a bad thing, its just a more personable version of email and has added benefits. The problem is the youth today, not the social net-working site..kids these days, for the most part are out of control, and an email account-doesn’t make them bad people making bad decisions. I would have to say to people who are against it, they are detached from accountability. Its easy to blame the site-so its not all your fault. Talk to your kids about common sense, and using good judgement and you should not have any problems.

  7. “…an email account-doesn’t make them bad people making bad decisions…”
True. It could make them good young-people making idiotic decisions! Having a personal [private-secret] e-mail account is another weapon in the teenagers’s war for independence.

  8. I THINK MYSPACE CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS FOR KIDS BECAUSE PARENTS THAT LET THEIR CHILDREN TALK ON THE INTERNET DON’T MONITOR WHAT IS GOING ON. IF PARENTS WOULD STAY ON TOP WHAT THEIR KIDS ARE DOING,MYSPACE WOULDN’T BE SO BAD. ONE OF MY KIDS SIGNED UP FOR MYSPACE AND EVERY TIME MY CHILD GETS ONLINE I MONITOR WHAT IS BEING SAID. I DON’T WANT THEM TO FEEL LIKE THEY DON’T HAVE ANY PRIVACY OR INDEPENDENCE, BUT EXPLAINING TO THEM WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG BUILDS RESPONSIBILITY AND INTEGRITY . YES WE DO HAVE TO RESPECT OUR CHILDREN’S PRIVACY TO AN EXTENT BUT WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE MAKING THE RIGHT DESICIONS WHEN THEY ARE ONLINE!

  9. We also need to make sure they don’t gum up the caps lock key so that it is permanently on.
