  1. That is so cool. Maybe, could you put a convenient link to it near the top of your site, so those of us who don’t get one in the mail can come to your site to reference it? I’d much appreciate it. Thanks either way!

  2. Interesting list, if not a little long. I don’t think they need to list every Chief’s baseball game. If you want to go to a game, you’ll get a schedule.

The $10 is a little misleading, in my opinion. So it costs me $6-$10 to get into the game. Now multiply that by 6 if I want to bring my wife and kids. Now we’re at $36-$60 and we’ve yet to purchase hotdogs, pretzels, bottled water, soda and beer.

Same reason I didn’t go to the carnival at the Civic Center last week.

I’m not knocking it, but things such as these, at least in our family, are saved for special occasions. Kartsville, which is reasonably priced, still sets me back a good $30-$40; same goes for Splashdown or Lakeview.

To me, the best deal in town is the family membership at Wildlife Prarie Park for $40.

  3. I agree the list was a little redundant, but still helpful.

To PeoriaIllinoisian, FYI about the Chiefs: Mondays are half-price on all admission, and Tuesdays are free popcorn, soda and hot dogs (all you can eat) with paid admissions. So if your kids are into baseball, they do offer discounts (I think Thursdays you can get a reduced price ticket with purchases from Taco Bell).

One event we really enjoy is the Peoria Municipal Band. The concerts are free, concessions are available, the musicians are professionals and extremely talented. And the concerts don’t go so ridiculously late that you can’t bring your kids.

  4. Ya gotta love all the things marked free. I work for an agency that places foster children and many of these events are perfect for those families. Thanks to the person who put this together in such an easy-to-use format.
